About Theresa:

I first became interested in yoga as a high school sophomore when my track and cross-country coach urged us to try it out during the summer.  I have practiced yoga off and on for almost 30 years and have studied with many teachers in varied traditions.  I started a regular and consistent practice about 9 years ago studying with my current teacher from the Kriplau tradition.  Yoga has always been an important part of my life, but over the last few years I have come to know it not only as a form of exercise and stress-reduction, but as a way of self-discovery and healing; bringing yoga off the mat and into my life.   My exploration through yoga led me to becoming a certified Kripalu yoga teacher.

My classes reflect the Kripalu tradition with awareness of the breath, meditation and asana practice adapted for all abilities and bodies. I am influenced greatly by my teacher in her application of the principles of Iyengar yoga, including alignment and yogic philosophy.  I continue to study yoga in its many forms and am grateful for all who continue to shine light on this ancient practice.

I live in Lyme, NH with my husband and three active teenagers, who remain always my primary teachers.
